How do you know what my wife likes?

Actually, you probably know her best. That’s why we ask you about her type and her style. With this info, Jean can apply her style magic and sourcing prowess of what to get and where to get it.

What is a recipient profile?

This is where you tell us about your girl. We kept is simple: the Basics, her Type, and her Style. Save it. Use it the next time you need to get her something. Share it with a family member or friend who also buys her gifts. Everyone wins!

What is a “preset” profile?

Not sure what her Type or Style is? Preset profiles give you a head start. Go ahead and tweak them, and then save her profile.

What if I don’t fill out the entire profile?

You’ll have to do it all over again the next time! You can save as many profiles as you have girls in your life. Don’t forget Mom!

Can girls subscribe?

Absolutely. It’s all Girls, isn’t it? Girls can join and create their own profiles … or maybe a profile for their Sister or Mom. Then they can invite their guy, so he can get a clue and never give bad gifts again.

What are guests?

As a Subscriber, you can invite as many guests as you want. A guest gets great gift giving recommendations for each profile they are invited to “view.” Guests can also add to a Girl’s Wishlist. Go ahead, invite everyone who buys her gifts. Everyone wins!

I don’t know much about my girl’s profile. How will I get good results?

Simple. Invite her to view her profile. You can’t go wrong when she fills it out!

What’s different about Wishlists?

Each Girl’s Profile has only one Wishlist. Everyone who can view that profile can add items to that Wishlist. Mark an item as purchased. She can mark it as received. Getting her something secret? Hide it from her on the Wishlist … or hide it from everyone. You’re in control. Put an item on that she doesn’t like? She can remove it! Check out what she added to her own list. These items float to the top (of course!).

“Go Get It” didn’t take me to the product. What now?

Our bad. We try to make every link work as a convenience to you, but sometimes merchants change things up, just to keep us on our toes. We scrub links everyday to keep them as current as possible.

What is the $20 for?

$20 gets you great recommendations from our proprietary, unbiased matching engine. You also get to save an unlimited number of profiles, invite as many guests as you want to view those profiles, save to Wishlists, and more.

Do you sell anything?

Nope. Lots of people do that better than us. Plus, could we really give you unbiased advice if we were trying to sell you something?

Why no ads?

Our mission is to make the best gift recommendation we can. We don’t want to have any conflicts of interest with the products we recommend and any ads carried on the site. If we ever do carry ads on the site, they will have nothing to do with the products we recommend. For now, the site is ad-free.

Why don’t you tell me the price?

We aren’t a price comparison site. We’re here to help you find that Gift, and we’ll tell you what price “bucket” everything falls into (you need to know that Tiffany necklace is $$$$$ not $ !) Once you’ve figured out what to get, the buying part is easy.

What is your refund policy?

1. Subscription Fee: If you’re not completely satisfied with GiftGirl’s Gift ideas within 30 days of becoming a Gift Girl member, then give us a call and or drop us a line, and we’ll refund your membership fee.
2. Recommended items: If you have to return an item we recommended, please deal directly with the merchant where the item was purchased.
